Viewing Area from our dining roomI just can't seem to let go of the littlest chicklets. I want to keep them pristine, sweet & beautiful forever!! I know it can't compare to actual parenthood, but I am still trying my best to protect them from the elements for as long as I can. Scary things like rain, wind, mud... they are so trusting and adorable. All they want to do is snuggle. So I set up their mini condo outside, yet protected from the rain. I can see them, they are safe, and it's a temporary solution. I think I have until Daylight Savings before the darling boyfriend tells me ENOUGH. He has been so tolerant & changed the sprinkler system settings so cutie-pie baby chicks don't get sprayed at 3am. The big chickens are well adjusted & used to being outside. Laying like crazy, broody all the time. Yet they still squak! at the geese flying by in the mornings, bok! at the big dogs on their rounds, all in a days work I guess . Today they are in the courtyard weeding...one day these little fluffers will be there "on the job", too. |
