This is the new Georges. My wonderful Christmas surprise.
I thought all my broody hens had rejected their fertile eggs in the beginning of December, but it turns out they were hiding one! I had a successful hatch with my Brinsea incubator, and was very satisfied. A couple days later, I was cleaning up eggshells & mess outside when I heard a peeping-- a distressed peeping.
I ran into the coop, and pushed aside the Silkies that had crowded about the broody box-- there was Georges!
I scooped him up & brought him inside. Luckily my incubator was clean, still warmish, and Georges could be near the other chicks. 10 hours later, Georges was ready to meet his fellow fluffers. Yay!
Georges 2 is so sweet & mellow-- just like original Georges. Maybe Georgette? Georgina?
